Rider injured after being thrown from horse
At 4.40pm yesterday, the UK Coastguard requested to launch of Seahouses inshore lifeboat to assist the casualty, who was injured near the water line on St Aidan’s beach, just north of Seahouses.
The tide was rising and the person had suspected serious shoulder and spinal injuries.

Hide AdThe ambulance had requested assistance as its resources were some distance away.
The local Coastguard Team had also been tasked to the scene and were also in the process of responding.
The lifeboat made it to the scene to begin casualty-care treatment.
Once paramedics arrived, the RNLI crew helped to stabilise the casualty and together with local Coastguards, the injured person was transferred to a stretcher and then on to the ambulance.
The RNLI has no information about the casualty’s identity or condition.
