LIFE jackets and rowing machines were just some of the items stolen from a rowing club in Blagdon earlier this month.
Police are appealing for information after several thousands of pounds worth of equipment was stolen from the Tyne United Rowing Club in Blaydon.

Between 8.30pm on Thursday, April 9, and 10.15am on Friday, April 10, thieves stole a Yamaha Outboard Motor, two brand new Concept 2 rowing machines which were still boxed, 10 G-Tec Con Amateur life jackets and six red white and blue life jackets from the club.

Some of the property stolen was on loan to the club from local schools who were holding sessions for school children at the club during the Easter break.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the theft or who may have been offered equipment matching those stolen contact officers on 03456 043 043 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
