We can no longer use walk due to dog dirt

ON our days off work, my wife and I enjoy taking our three-year-old grandson out for a walk.

Normally, we like to park the car near Seaton Sluice and stroll along the cliff tops past the lighthouse to Whitley Bay.

However, we can no longer do this with our grandson because most the route is now so heavily covered with dog dirt.

The route near the lighthouse is particularly bad.

It’s probably a waste of time appealing to dog walkers to be more responsible.

But it is worth asking what, if anything, North Tyneside Council is doing to tackle this?

Do they ever send anyone down to fine the offenders?
