New members welcome at Panama Club

MAY we at the Panama Swimming Club correct a small error in your otherwise excellent coverage of our New Year’s Day dip.

Whereas many people use the occasion to do sponsored dips for various charities, we at Panama do not use it as such to raise funds for the club.

We offer our downstairs changing rooms free for the occasion, and a hot drink upstairs afterwards for anyone wishing it, the latter with the option of a small donation.

Meanwhile, should anyone having taken the plunge this year feel they’ve got the taste for it, members of the club meet on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11am.

We welcome new members. For what is still, we think, the bargain price of £30 a year, members have full use of the clubhouse enabling them to swim at any time, as well as at club meets.
