Thanks to all the readers who put hands on their hearts

I AM writing to thank all your readers who have put their hands on their hearts and signed up to volunteer with the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Volunteers play a vital role in the work of the BHF and their dedication helps save and improve the lives of those affected by heart disease.

There are so many ways you can get involved with supporting the life-saving work of the BHF – from placing collection boxes and volunteering in a BHF Shop to organising your own event, such as a coffee morning.

You only have to give the time you can afford – whether it's a regular day a week or a few hours a year. Whatever you choose to do, you'll be able to take pride in the fact you've taken time to help the charity's work in saving lives and fighting heart disease.

Giving a hand to the BHF is a great way to support the charity and it can also be incredibly rewarding so if you haven't already got involved, why not find out more by visiting bhf.org.uk/volunteer, emailing volunteer@bhf.org.uk or call 0300 4568353, lines are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
