CREATIVE mums interested in setting up in business are being invited to take part in practical, fun workshops.
The Enterprising Mums sessions at the Riverside Children's Centre in North Shields are designed to allow mothers to meet other mums who want to put their ideas into practice.

And the next sessions take place at the centre on Tuesday, April 24, and Tuesday, May 1, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, with childcare provided.

Helen Watson, head of children and families services at North Tyneside Council, said: "Whether it's knitting, cake making or organising parties, starting a business is a great option for many mums.

"It allows them to be creative, work flexibly – often from home – and may provide an opportunity to revive old interests."

Enterprising Mums is funded by the North East Enterprise Bond, a private sector-led initiative which is promoting the enterprise message in the region, and backed by the council.

To book a free place, or for details, contact Judith Thew at the centre on (0191) 200 5219 or e-mail judith.thew@northtyneside.gov.uk
