Change of use plan for old Whiskey Bends pub

AN old pub which featured in a famous calendar highlighting neglect in Whitley Bay could be given a new life.
A planning application has been submitted to North Tyneside Council to turn Whiskey Bends, on the Promenade, into a nursing home.
The pub was one of the 'landmarks' in the town which was included in the 'Whitley Decay' calendar.
