The Lansdowne Singers will be donating money raised in a concert this month to the Kenya Acorn Project which helps the communities of Ndhiwa tackle disease and develop their health and education services.

The choir's concert, "Gonna Rise Up Singin", will be a selection of melodies at North Shields Methodist Church on Saturday May 17 at 7.15pm.

Tickets, priced £4 including refreshments, can be reserved by calling (0191) 257 1907 or (0191) 252 3919.
