LOCAL Morris and traditional dancers will be dancing outside the Cumberland Arms, Byker, next week.
On Thursday, July 9, from 8pm, the Tyne Bridge Women's Morris, Hexham Morrismen, Hexhamshire Lasses, the Newcastle Kingsmen Sword dancers and New Spice Girls Clog will gather to entertain drinkers with their dancing, and accompanying music.

"Hexham and Tyne Bridge danced out together to celebrate Bastille Day a few of years ago, and enjoyed it so much that it has developed into a regular occurrence - a few times more and it will be a tradition," said Tyne Bridge's Bagman Brenda Boyd.

"We normally practice on a Thursday night and then go to the pub, so and it's nice to get out and perform with other dancers for the
evening."
