Elderly man dies a month on from attack in his home

AN elderly man has who was viciously attacked in his Tyneside home almost a month ago has died in hospital.
Harold Lindley, 89 was found with serious facial injuries by neighbours in Walker Grove, Walker, on April 17.
Northumbria Police said a post-mortem examination into his death will be carried out tomorrow (Thursday).
Michael Stephenson, 20, of Westbury Avenue in Newcastle, has been charged with robbery, causing grievous bodily harm, and has been remanded in custody.
