MUSIC lovers in North Tyneside will get the rare chance to see an award-winning American singer-songwriter in action when she comes to Monkseaton this week.
Jess Klein will visit The Black Horse in Monkseaton on Friday, May 16.

Jess, whose latest album was awarded a four star rating by the prestigious MOJO music magazine is a regular on the network TV show Good Morning America and is on a whistle stop European tour which sees her play shows in Dublin, London and York before heading back over the Atlantic.

Promoter Dave Cowan said: "It's a great opportunity for people to see an artist of Jess's standing play at a smaller out of town venue such as The Black Horse, I have been to a few gigs there lately and it offers a friendly comfortable environment in which to enjoy the great music that's on offer.

"It's nice for an audience to be able to get up close to an artist rather than go to big arenas where it can all seem a bit impersonal."
