Man dies in motorbike accident

A MAN has been killed after the motorcycle he was riding struck a lamppost near the Delaval Arms in Seaton Sluice on Wednesday night.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the fatal accident which happened on the A193 Blyth Road at 9pm.

Emergency services attended the scene and attempted to revive the motorcyclist.

Unfortunately, the 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for information about the incident.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043043.
