New course for Bay science students

NEWCASTLE University has offered young scientists at a Whitley Bay school a unique new way to get a degree.
The new course will allow pupils at Monkseaton High School to study degree-level modules in place of A-levels - and still go to university.
It is hoped the scheme will result in more students studying core science subjects at university.
