Salvation Army reopens refurbished base

THE newly refurbished headquarters of North Shields' Salvation Army were unveiled at a special ceremony last week.
Elected Mayor of North Tyneside John Harrison, Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell, and Salvation Army Divisional Commanders Major Melvin and Suzanne Finchman were present for the reopening of the group's Howard Street building following extensive refurbishment.
The ribbon was cut by Brenda Adamson, the longest serving member of the Salvation Army in Shields, holding the youngest member of the branch, Joshua Bruinewood.
