CONNOR Little and Georgina Mitchelson were the centre of attention as they got 'married' in their own 'mock wedding'.
Children from Burradon Primary School have been learning all about marriage and weddings in their classroom.
And last week they were given a first hand account with their own 'wedding' at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Burradon.
During the ceremony, Connor and Georgina – dressed in traditional attire – performed vows in front of school friends and bridesmaids, and were presented with a 'marriage certificate'.
Afterwards, a reception was held with parents and friends with the young pair cutting the cake.
The event was held to aid the children's understanding of what marriage is all about, as part of their study of the sacrament in their Signs and Symbols topic at school.
In the run up to the 'ceremony' the Rev Angela Maughan, from the church and who performed the mock ceremony, has been talking to the children on why people chose to get married.
