Three men charged with murder of Byker teenager

THREE men have now been charged with the murder of a teenager in Byker last weekend.
Ross Davidson was found in his flat in Grace Street, Byker, Newcastle, on Sunday night having suffered serious head injuries.
Kenneth Philip Power, 22, of Dunstonburgh Road, Byker, Steven Gilbert, 22, of St Anthonys Road, Newcastle, and Graeme Duncan, 22, of Norbury Grove, Newcastle, will all appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court this morning (Thursday).
Officers had been called to the incident at 10.15pm on Sunday.
Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated Mr Davidson at the scene but he later died from his injuries.
Northumbria Police said they were doing all they can to reassure residents, and extra patrols are being carried out in the area.
Neighbourhood sergeant Tony Hub said: "Crime and violent crime has fallen in the area and serious crimes such as this are unusual.
"However, we do understand people's concerns and are doing all we can to reassure residents.
"This includes extra police patrols by officers and community support officers.
"The area has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Team and we would urge anyone in the area who has concerns to get in touch and discuss them."
