KEEN fiddlers are being sought to join a borough organisation.

Tyneside Fiddle Alliance is looking for new members.

The group was set up nearly two years ago, with 50 musicians signing up for the twice a month lessons with four of the region’s top fiddle/violin players.

The alliance is open to all ages and abilities, with the intention of promoting fiddle music in the region.

Each session costs £6 for two hours and takes place on the first and third Thursday of the month at St Mary’s Heritage Centre, next to Sage Gateshead, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
