There's no Forgetting Sarah Marshall

WITHOUT a doubt Forgetting Sarah Marshall is the funniest film I've seen this year.

Russell Brand really proves his worth in this comedy that actually does make you laugh out loud - long after the jokes have finished.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall, written by and starring Jason Segel stands out as one of the all-time great comedy films.

The film follows Peter Bretter (Segel) who has lost his love of life.

Working as a composer for a TV show that his girlfriend stars in, he thinks his life is rosy, until actress Sarah marshall (Kristen Bell) announces she's leaving him for her new boyfriend - rocker Aldous Snow (an amazing Russell Brand.)

As Peter's world falls apart without Sarah, he decides to go to Hawaii for some rest and relaxation, but as luck would have it, who else happens to be in the same hotel, but Sarah and Aldous.

But when Peter arrives at the hotel and sees Sarah he is saved by the attractive hotel receptionist, Rachel (Mila Kunis)- no prizes for guessing what happens here, but the journey to how it happens will keep you guessing.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a truly entertaining film.

Russell Brand almost plays himself, and is hysterical with it, and although we don't like the title character we don't hate her.

But it's Peter that really steals the show, with his portrayal of a heartbroken man that is both funny and touching.

And there's also a handful of cameos including Jonah Hill as the Aldous-stalking waiter, and Paul Rudd as surfer dude Chuck, that make you feel like you're watching a film with all your friends in it.

Unlike many comedies at the moment there is no disgusting 'gross-out' moments, the film relies on funny dialogue and perfect comic timing, and the occasional flash of male genitalia from Segel.

This really is a highly entertaining film that I loved every minute of and would love to see again.
