TYNEMOUTH Scouts performing in a Gang Show have been given a helping hand.

The Northumbria Police Charities Fund stepped in with 165 neckerchiefs and 220 woggles for youngsters who took part in the recent show at the Playhouse Whitley Bay.

Tynemouth Scouts asked the fund for help in supplying new members with neckerchiefs as well as the woggles for the show.

Sarah Dodds, North Tyneside Charities trustee, said: “We were pleased to help out Tynemouth Scouts by buying neckerchiefs and woggles for this year’s Gang Show. Scouting provides lots of fun, challenges and adventures and is an excellent place for young people of all ages to meet new friends in a safe environment.”

The force charities fund helps individuals, organisations and good causes throughout the Northumbria Police area.
