Little angels head to the big stage of the north

425 local schoolchildren will perform a musical concert, sponsored by Whitley Bay-based umbrella charity Angels of the North, at Sage, Gateshead to raise funds for local charities.

The concert is entitled Angels of the North and will be performed by children from throughout Tyneside, South East Northumberland and the Bommel Musical Theatre School from West Monkseaton.

The concert takes place on Monday, July 13 and will feature 425 fantastic voices providing a sensational evening of musical theatre entertainment.

Executive Officer Barbara Connors-Fowler said that Angels of the North is delighted to have had the opportunity to sponsor three large local art events in the last year.

“I am particularly delighted to announce that Angels of the North’s sponsorship thisyear will enable local children to participate in international events in India, France and the U.S.A.

“We are also in the final stages of arranging a cultural exchange with youngsters in Kazakhstan in Eastern Europe and we will be sponsoring a major concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London within the next couple of years,” she added.
