Peter Pan flies in to the Playhouse

If you’re looking for a bit of magic this panto season, then look no further than Peter Pan at the Playhouse Whitley Bay.

The traditional tale of Peter and the Lost Boys is brought to life in true panto style at the theatre until Sunday, January 5.

As ever the wonderfully talented Steve Walls stole the show as Smee, with some cracking one liners that ensure the children can’t help but fall in love with him – but he also ensures the adults aren’t left out with some more risque punchlines.

Mark Little, of Neighbours fame, lapped up the boos as Captain Hook, and clearly relished every minute he was on stage, even getting the audience to sing along to the Neighbours theme tune.

Personally I missed having a panto dame, but all round, Peter Pan is an excellent show the kids will absolutely love.
