The countdown is on for the region’s biggest summer event.
With a bumper line-up of live music, street entertainment and special performances, the Mouth of the Tyne Festival returns next month, when it will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
One of the UK’s biggest pop bands, Lawson will kick off performances on main stage, playing to the crowds in Tynemouth Priory and Castle on Friday, July 11.
And after selling out in less than 48 hours, Paul Weller will play on the following evening, on Saturday, July 12.
For those wanting to see Toploader and The Brand New Heavies perform, tickets are now on sale for the traditional Sunday afternoon concert at the Priory.
North Tyneside elected mayor Norma Redfearn said: “I’m delighted we have also brought back the free street entertainment, along with the jazz stage and pageant, as we know how important they are after listening to feedback from last year’s event.
”I hope everyone has a fantastic time.”
