What Happens in Vegas follows the story of Jack (Ashton Kutcher) and Joy (Cameron Diaz) - two people down on their luck who meet in Vegas, and following a night of debauchery, end up married.

Jack has just got fired by his dad, and Joy has just got dumped by her fiance at a surprise party she was throwing him - so the couple have both headed to Vegas to forget their worries, but before long they have something new to worry about.

Whilst deciding to get a divorce, a shared gambling chip ends up netting one of them $3 million dollars.

Unfortunately for both of them, they come up against Judge Whopper who sentences them to six months of hard marriage.

The newlyweds devise ever-escalating schemes to undermine each other and get their hands on the money - only to find themselves falling in love amid the mutual backstabbing.

Jack fakes abuse during the compulsory therapy sessions (with Queen Latifah as the counsellor), and urinates in the sink when it's Joy's turn to do the washing up, and Joy takes ages in the bathroom and beats Jack with bread to see which one can outlast the other.

Lake Bell and Rob Corddry are the real stars of the show as the squabbling best friends who hate each other (but do they?), and Bell's droll humour is very funny.

If you put your disbelief that these two characters would ever get together to one side, you will see the charm of the film shining through and there are some very entertaining moments throughout the film that will keep you highly amused.
