THE pop legend that is Britney Spears is back to best with her sixth studio album, Circus.
On the heels of the popularity of her number one US hit single Womanizer, Britney Spears will release her Circys on Monday - her birthday.

The worldwide superstar recently made news when she broke the record for making the biggest leap to number one on Billboards Hot 100 singles chart in America when Womanizer shot from number 96 to number 1.

Selling 286,000 downloads in its first week, Womanizer also set a new record for the biggest opening week by a female artist.

Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and has sold in excess of 62 million albums worldwide including Baby One More Time, in 1999, Oops!...I Did It Again, in 2000, Britney, in 2001, In The Zone, in 2003, and Blackout, in 2007.

It looks like the star is back to her old self after her recent troubles, and has put all her energy into her music.

With Circus, the Britney we know and love is letting her music speak for itself - and this is arguably her best album to date.

Britney is on top form with an excellent selection of pop and rock songs that show how she has grown as an artist - with the R&B feel to Lace and Leather, and Kill The Lights, to the up-tempo Mmm Papi, Britney shows how she can adapt.

There are a few songs that hark back to her former squeaky-clean days, with Out for Under baring more than a passing resemblance to the brilliant hit I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman, and the penultimate track on the album - My Baby, is a ballad reminiscent of Born To Make You Happy.

Britney has overcome severe difficulties in her personal life to create a compelling sixth album that proves she really does have star quality.
