FORMER Newcastle United favourite Nolberto Solano is thinking over a possible move to the US to link up with David Beckham and LA Galaxy.
The Peruvian midfielder was released by West Ham earlier in the summer and is now deciding on whether to take up other Premier League offers or move across the Atlantic.

Thirty-three-year-old Solano is wanted by one of his former managers on Tyneside, Ruud Gullit, who is now in charge of the Galaxy.

The player's agent, Phil Smith, said: "Nolberto is open-minded about where he plays and there is a genuine interest in him from LA Galaxy.

"We've had a dialogue with Ruud Gullit about Nol and we're hoping his future will be tied up within a week."

Portsmouth and other Premier League clubs are also said to be interested in keeping the player in the top flight.

Solano quit Newcastle for West Ham last summer to be nearer his family in London.

Should he make the move to the West Coast of the United States, the right-sided midfielder will find himself in direct competition for a place in the starting line-up with former Manchester United and Real Madrid superstar Beckham.
