TOTTENHAM Hotspur defender Michael Dawson has rejected claims that he is on his way to Newcastle United for £6m.
Recent reports have linked the 24-year-old with a move away from White Hart Lane as part of Juande Ramos's revolution.

But the former Nottingham Forest centre-half is adamant that he will be wearing the Tottenham shirt next season.

"I am happy here and I don't know where that has come from," insisted Dawson.

"We have got depth in the centre-back position, and hopefully the manager thinks like that as well.

"Fingers crossed it will be the same next year.

"It is competition and we want to push on."
