ORGANISERS are undergoing last minute preparations for an annual fundraising event next weekend.
Cullercoats Harbour Day will be held on Saturday, August 18, from 11am.
The event, at Cullercoats Bay, will include a variety of stalls and a raffle as well as face painting, a coconut shy and pony rides.
The cobble and keel boats will be on show alongside paintings by Mike Smith and David Talbot.
Operations permitting, the Sea King search and rescue helicopter will make an appearance and there will be a lifeboat display.
The Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade will perform a mock rescue and the Dove Marine Laboratory will be open to the public.
Live music will be provided by Ruth Lambert and local band The Parish, and a selection of hot and cold refreshments will be available throughout the day
In the event of bad weather, activities will relocate to Cullercoats Community Centre in Belle Vue Street.
