ON Good Friday, near the Rendezvous Cafe, I was walking along the promenade when suddenly, flash, bang, wallop, down I go onto the hard surface.
I was in despair as I have two gammy knees and it was impossible for me to raise myself up.
In the air I heard male voices saying ‘coming to help you’, and they did.
Two men lifted me up. I was amazed by these good men. I could not thank them enough and did not take their names, but I say ‘thanks a million’ for such an act of goodwill.
Most people often just pass you by when in need. So I will always remember their help to me.
