An advertising student from North Shields has been given a prestigious award.
Newcastle College Foundation Degree Creative Advertising student Joe Goicoechea, 20, from North Shields, and fellow student Charlie Warcup, 23, from Hexham, have been awarded ‘Best of Year’ for their campaign proposal for high profile brand, Ted Baker, in the annual Design and Art Direction (D&AD) Student Awards.
Joe said: “We are thrilled and very proud that we have achieved this award.
“The training we receive at the college has its finger on the pulse of the advertising industry and we went all out with our creative ideas to impress the judges and Ted Baker.”
A representative from Ted Baker, as well as judges from the advertising industry, judged the students’ entry, which was aimed at introducing the Ted Baker brand to another country.
