Students are being reminded that help is at hand after collecting their exam results this summer.
Connexions North Tyneside will be providing an exam results advice service for 16 and 18-year-olds collecting their A-levels results on August 13, and GCSEs on August 20.
Advisers will be on hand to help young people, including A-level students who may need to reconsider their options for university if their results are not what they’d hoped for or helping GCSE pupils find out about sixth-form courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and other programmes.
Connexions North Tyneside senior manager Tim Downing, said: “At this time of year people want to get access to the best careers advice possible and our fully qualified advisers are on hand to help whether that be about clearing, employment, further study, or career signposting.”
Connexions advisers will be on hand via (0191) 643 6965, email ConnexionsNT@northtyneside.gov.uk or visit www.connexions-tw.co.uk
Mayor Norma Redfearn added: “I know this can be an incredibly stressful time for many young people and their families especially if they don’t get the grades they were hoping for.”
“However there’s no need to worry as help is available from the friendly and professional team at Connexions North Tyneside who can give excellent advice on a wide range of careers options or further education.”
