Businesses in North Tyneside are being invited to apply for an annual awards celebrating their contribution to putting the borough on the map.
Any business trading for more than six months is eligible to enter the North Tyneside Business Awards, with the focus on areas of excellence rather than according to the different business sectors.
Mayor Norma Redfearn said: “The annual Business Awards celebrate the huge contribution the borough’s businesses make to the local economy, our communities and to the people who live and work here.
“The awards aim to turn the spotlight onto the terrific value they add to the borough, not just in terms of the jobs they provide, but how they help us reduce our carbon footprint, support communities, drive innovation, bring new skills into the borough and really put North Tyneside onto the map.”
There are seven award categories – New Business Award, Apprentice Employer Award, Green Award, Social Responsibility Award, Innovation Award, Customer Service Award, Putting North Tyneside on the Map.
