Drinks were flowing as a popular festival returned for its eight year.

Hundreds of people descended on the Tynemouth Beer Festival, which was once again held at Tynemouth Cricket Club.

The three-day event – from September 25 to 27 – has become a popular attraction on the calendar.

And as well as raising funds for both Tynemouth Cricket Club and the adjoining Percy Park Rugby Club, the event was raising money for the Tynemouth Lifeboat.

Visitors were able to choose from 80 beers and 20 ciders and perries, with a selection from local breweries.

And there was a special guest from Whitehouse Farm who brought along their birds of prey, putting on displays and giving visitors the chance to get up close and personal with the birds.
