Green-fingered gardeners can now enter North Tyneside Council’s annual bloom competition.
Residents, businesses, schools and community groups are being encouraged to pull out all the stops and show off their gardening triumphs and outdoor improvements.
There are 16 categories, including hanging basket display; small, medium and large garden; spaces designed especially for wildlife to thrive and best young gardener,.
It is being supported once again by North Tyneside Homes and Gosforth Garden Centre will provide prizes for the winning entries.
The competition closes to entries on Friday, July 3, with judging taking place throughout July and August.
Coun John Harrison, cabinet member for housing and the environment, said: “It’s wonderful we are able to celebrate and reward those people and groups who work so hard to enhance the borough, through this extremely popular competition.”
“Every year, we receive so many fantastic entries and the judges have a very difficult job.”
