Board to discuss local health issues

A board that looks after the health and wellbeing of North Tyneside’s residents is meeting next week – and residents are invited to go along.

The Health and Wellbeing Board, which brings together representatives from North Tyneside Council, the NHS, community and voluntary sector and patient representatives, will meet on Thursday, April 28.

Items for discussion include a new mental health strategy for North Tyneside and the development of action plan to help to tackle alcohol abuse in the borough.

Residents are invited to observe the meeting which takes place at the Countryside Centre, Rising Sun Country Park, Benton, from 1pm to 5pm.
