A world renowned bubble artist is backing a charity’s social media campaign.

Sam Heath, aka Samsam Bubbleman, is supporting the Bubble Foundation UK, which helps babies and children suffering from some of the most severe immune conditions.

The charity’s campaign ‘Bubbles for the Bubble’ is aiming to raise funds for the Children’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, based in Newcastle.

The Bubble Foundation funds medical equipment, toys and educational aids, supports the welfare of the babies, children and their families, and also funds the research required at this cutting edge of paediatric practice.

Sam, 44, from Brighton, is supporting The Bubble Foundation in a number of different ways, including a generous toy donation to the ward.

Sam is a professional ‘Bubbleologist’, who has performed for the Royal Family, Shakira, JK Rowling, Sir Paul McCartney and many of the world’s largest brands – and to date has ten world records, also showing his bubble-blowing skills during the London 2012 Opening Ceremony.

He said: “I have been involved with charity work in the past, I put on bubble shows for sick children and often donate bubble toys to worthy causes.

“Bubbles are great for creating cheer no matter what your age is, which is why I think The Bubble Foundation UK is such a worthy cause.

“When you look at what The Bubble Foundation does for these sick children, it is massively impressive.

“The foundation does all it can to make a child and their family feel at home, when in reality they are 1,000 miles away from a normal childhood. We must help them to keep going in whatever way we can.”

The Bubble Foundation needs to raise around £500,000 to fund vital new strands of research into genetic causes of Primary Immunodeficiency (PIDs), as well as research into the outcomes of treatment to ultimately improve the lives of people with immune disorders.
