Two successful business owners have been appointed to help others start-up their business ideas.

TEDCO Business Support has appointed two new business advisors to work with individuals looking to launch their own ventures.

Tracy Clarkson and Nicky Gray will provide knowledge, expertise and guidance in a number of key areas.

Tracy Clarkson will be covering the Newcastle and Gateshead area while entrepreneur Nicky Gray will be bringing her wealth of experience to new ventures in North and South Tyneside.

Nicky said: “The nature and type of support that an individual needs will change over the course of their start-up journey; given my own background as a business owner, we recognise and understand this which is why the guidance that we offer goes beyond the initial launch phase and prepares an individual for the challenges they will face during the early months.”

Carole White, chief executive at TEDCO Business Support, said: “We are delighted to welcome Tracy and Nicky to the team and their knowledge and expertise will be a real asset as we look to support many more people realise their ambitions and establish their own businesses.

“As a region, we have a wealth of entrepreneurial drive and talent and by providing robust, commercially-sound enterprise support we will see the north east continue to grow, prosper and create further much needed employment opportunities.”

TEDCO Business Support works across the region and has helped more than 2050 business start-ups since its incorporation in 2013.
