A North Shields businessman who shared his story with Sir Richard Branson is looking to help other entrepreneurs.

Alexander Bell, co-founder of thisis360.com, established his own business with help from TEDCO Business Support Ltd and a financial boost from Virgin StartUp.

His venture – which specialises in panoramic and commercial photography – has gone from strength to strength and earlier this year he had the opportunity to meet and discuss his new enterprise with Sir Richard.

Now Alexander will share his experience at Campus North, Newcastle, on Thursday, October 9, from 6pm to 8pm. To attend book online at tedco.org/events, or call (0191) 516 6102.

Guests will also hear more about how they can access low-cost funding from Virgin StartUp through the organisation’s delivery partner TEDCO Business Support Ltd.

Alexander said: “The finance, mentoring and support I have received as a Virgin StartUp loan recipient has been invaluable to my business.

“The team at TEDCO have been fantastic and always ready to help in any way they can. My business would not be as strong as it is today without their help.”

Carole White, TEDCO’s chief executive, said: “We are very excited that Alexander Bell will be joining us as a guest speaker.

“Loans are available from just £250 so technology businesses looking for smaller funding opportunities are particularly welcome, but the event is open to anyone in the initial phase of setting up on their own, or who are in their first year of trading and looking for further support.

“We are really looking forward to hearing some of the terrific business ideas being developed by people in the local area, which is developing an international reputation as a region of real innovation, particularly in the tech space.”

TEDCO’s experienced business advisors will be on hand to answer any questions and tell guests about help available, including mentoring and support with business planning and the loan application process.
