A NORTH Shields-based creative agency is developing an application to be pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs.
Armadillo’s HealthClubTV is a web-based exercise business that aims to let users ‘take the gym with them’, providing instant, easy access to essential workouts, anytime, anywhere.
The application development will bring the essential elements of this service direct to Samsung Smart TV users across Europe, utilising the latest TV and App technologies.
The development process involves a great deal of liaison with Samsung to meet their specification and to adapt the current HealthClubTV operation to the new, evolving platform.
The App is being designed to give Samsung users the best user experience possible as they engage with HealthClubTV for the first time.
Matt Wade, Armadillo’s digital manager, said “There are lots of Apps on the Samsung platform and it’s a rapidly developing area.
“It’s crucial that the HealthClubTV App stands out in the crowd and meets the essential functionality that Samsung customers expect.”
HealthClubTV’s managing director Chris Cooke said: “This is a critical stage of development for HealthClubTV.
“We’re negotiating a lot of new contracts and have some very exciting developments in the pipeline.
“Getting the Samsung App up and running, within budget and on schedule is an important first step and Armadillo have got it spot on.”
