A FAST-growing North Shields firm notched up a winning double at an annual awards ceremony.
Advanced Industrial Solutions was named as overall winner and also as best manufacturer at North Tyneside Council’s Small Business Awards.
The firm has grown from a two-man outfit to a booming business employing 24 staff since being founded four years ago.
Its directors have invested more than £700,000 in the business, now offering services including manufacture of thermal insulation jacket systems, equipment hire and training to all manner of firms.
Paul Stonebanks, its managing director, said: “It is an absolute honour to win an award in not just one, but two business categories.
“These awards reflect the hard work, commitment and the quality of all the staff at Advanced Industrial Solutions, and I’m privileged to accept these awards on their behalf.
“I am extremely proud of their achievements.
“We have gone from strength to strength since we started just over four years ago, and I’m confident that, due to our innovative approach, expertise and business strategy, we will sustain our continued growth for many years to come.
“We have shown our commitment to the borough through the huge investment we have made in our brand-new, world-class facilities on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, so it’s fantastic to be recognised by North Tyneside Council and business leaders involved in the awards.”
North Tyneside mayor Linda Arkley said: “I am tremendously impressed with our businesses, which are showing great resilience and innovation in overcoming the challenges of the recession.
“I would like to extend my thanks to our business community for the contribution they make to North Tyneside – in terms of their investment in the borough and the vital jobs that they create for our residents.”
