TWO North Tyneside companies have won contracts to supply products and services for next year’s London Olympics.
North Shields-based Ovington Boats and Dudley’s S and B EPS have each landed a share of £70m worth of Olympic contracts.
So far, 50 north east companies have been picked to work on the Olympics, offering services, including construction, retail, transport, communications and clothing supply.
Procurement support service Compete North East helped many of those businesses win their bids.
There are still £250m worth of contracts for grabs, for information visit www.competenortheast.co.uk
S and B EPS, founded in 1978, will supply expanded polystyrene for use in the construction of the Olympic Games’ aquatic centre.
