A North Shields accountancy firm has added a female touch to its office with the latest appointments.
Blue Sky Chartered Accountants, run by Dave Gibson and Jon Dudgeon, have taken on three new appointments – and they are all female.
Helen Huntley has joined as a client account manager. The 30-year-old, from London, has seven years experience and is delighted to join the team after moving to Whitley Bay in 2009 with husband Simon.
Senay Irfan, from Houghton-le-Spring, has also joined as client accountant manager. The 27-year-old has five years experience in accountancy in local firms, and has a degree in accountancy and finance.
Lisa Johnson joined Blu Sky on an internship when she graduated from Sunderland University with a degree in journalism and has impressed the team so much that they have created a permanent position for her as sales and marketing coordinator.
The 23-year-old had no previous experience in finance and has enjoyed learning on the job.
She said: “It was good to join the team as they were expanding and I am pleased I have made enough of an impact to have been made permanent.”
Co-owner Dave Gibson, said: “The addition of Helen and Senay as qualified accountants is key for us in our offering to existing and new clients.
“We want to offer more services as well as grow the industries we work within and their experience and qualifications are perfect for this.
“The addition of Lisa means that we can get the word out there professionally on what we offer.”
