A North Shields woman has secured her first sale in the US after receiving help setting up her business.

Samantha Davison created the Noob Cube, which delivers boxes of official merchandise to customers.

My adviser has been a huge support, I have had so many obstacles to overcome and she has helped to encourage and support me.

She received support from Jo Mclauchlin, an employment advisor with Remploy, who won awards for her own company before helping others.

Jo said: “I assist people who have barriers explore the option of becoming self-employed.

“I am passionate about helping people achieve their dreams no matter what stage they are at with their business or what barriers they feel they have. I feel honoured to help them achieve their own dreams.”

Samantha said: “My adviser has been a huge support, I have had so many obstacles to overcome and she has helped to encourage and support me.

“I would not be where I am now without her.”

Jo, who herself won a Mumpreneur award in 2014, runs enterprise sessions on a regular basis, supporting anyone considering self employment.
