Young cadets from Northumbria Police have been enjoying a busy summer taking part in a host of activities.
The cadets carried out community patrols in North Tyneside while also took part in Northern Pride and the 21st Newcastle Mela.
New Special Constables were helped with their training in tackling anti-social behaviour while, as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award, they took part in walking expeditions to help equip them with vital life skills, problem solving and working as a team.
Sgt Alan Parks said: “This has been by far the busiest summer the cadets have had.
“The cadets have received praise for their efforts from the community, their police colleagues and the National Police Cadet management team.
“They have demonstrated how useful and reliable they are and willing to support policing and community priorities.”
