Volunteering for Guide Dogs gives us a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction, not least seeing the way the dogs give people with sight loss life changing independence.
It’s an inspiration to see our Guide Dog Owner friends and their beautiful dogs out and about living life to the full.
The inspirational words of a local Guide Dog Owner and fellow volunteer best explain why we want to support Guide Dogs: “I’m so happy and love life which I never thought I would again, that’s why I want to try and raise as much as I can for guide dogs, because I want to give something back and it’s my way of saying thank you.”
We want to help to support more people with sight loss to get the most out of life through our fundraising with North Tyneside Fundraising Group.
We organise events that aim to put the fun into fundraising whilst raising vital money for a charity we are passionate about, like our recent doggy do social event at which great fun was had by all.
The Guide Dogs service receives no government or statutory funding so every penny counts.
We have some great events planned and would welcome some new volunteers to help join the group and make the things we do as successful as possible.
Do you think you could spare any time to support us, whether it’s an hour now and then or even more than that?
Our lively and friendly team will welcome your help, we hope you’ll have fun and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a real contribution to changing someone’s life.
To find out how you can get involved contact Guide Dogs local office on 08453 727423 or on email@example.com
Thank you for your anticipated help
