Youngsters at a borough nursery have been cleaning up to raise money for a charity that is close to their hearts.
The young people at the Children’s Choice Nursery in Monkseaton took part in a special charity car wash on Friday to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
All the children got into the spirit and dressed up as superheroes to take part in the fundraising event.
Deputy manager Emma Middleton said: “Our handyman Chris Streater has just been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, so the children really wanted to raise money for something that was close to their hearts.
“All the children had great fun dressing up as their favourite heroes, and it was good to be able to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.”
