SPECIAL wreaths have been handed out among businesses in Whitley Bay as a ‘thank you’ for their support over the year.

Officials at Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade ordered the festive treats to thank businesses in their town for their custom and business over the last 12 months.

The wreaths are created in town colours and have been created by Cornflower Blue on Park View, with blues, whites and silver to coincide with WBFC and town colours.

Chamber of trade chair, and owner of Made to Treasure Karen Goldfinch, said: “We are so pleased how many businesses have joined us in taking part in the Christmas spirit this year.

“The wreaths are a sensible alternative to trees which not everyone has space for, and they make a welcome addition to the town’s festive windows and lights.”

The wreeaths were given out free to chamber members in the town.
