NORTH Tynesiders are being invited to have their say on the future of the borough and also find out more about what is going on.
Three area forum meetings are being lined up by North Tyneside Council this month, with one of the items on the agenda being the authority’s strategic plan and budget.
Pam McIntyre, the council’s cabinet member for engagement and the environment, said: “We’re committed to ensuring the borough is well placed to continue to grow and thrive despite the current economic difficulties.
“Our strategic plan will set a new direction to live within reduced financial resources and ensure taxpayers’ money goes as far as it can.
“Local people and groups have helped us shape our priorities, and I would encourage residents to find out more about the council’s direction at these events.”
The area forums will be held on Monday at the Saville Exchange in North Shields, on Tuesday at Livingston Hall in Whitley Bay’s Park Avenue, and a week on Monday at Beacon Hill School at Rising Sun Cottages, Wallsend.
