Charity set to benefit groups

A NATIONAL charity which helps community and voluntary groups involved in sport has launched in Tyne and Wear.

Sported, which was founded Sir Keith Mills, chief executive of the London 2012 Olympic bid, aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people through sport.

Sported’s focus is on supporting the many existing voluntary and community organisations in the sport sector.
