THE Co-operative Travel store in Wallsend is seeking Christmas gifts to fill its ‘Santa’s Suitcase’ to help to provide toys to families living in poverty.

Staff at the store in Forum Shopping Centre are now collecting unwrapped gifts from customers which they will then hand over to Cash for Kids just before Christmas.

Those wishing to donate are asked to just pop into the store with their gifts before December 20th.

Branch manager Debra Bell said: “Cash for Kids does so much great work to give local children a treat at Christmas, so we’re pleased to be doing our bit with Santa’s Suitcase. We’d like to thank those who have already been kind enough to contribute, and look forward to other donations, however small, which will be gratefully received and will go to a very good home.”
