A MOTHER is appealing for help to support needy children in Africa after being inspired by her daughter’s tales.

Louise Gibson set up mobile styling company Style Solutions last year, travelling all over the region to help people look their best.

But now she is also looking to distribute clothes for needy children in South Africa after her eight-year-old daughter Frances recently visited friends in Cape Town.

Frances told her mother about the plight of orphans at nearby Heldleberg, leaving them some of her clothes and toys.

Louise started collecting clothes for the orphans, with Frances and her friends at Priory Primary School in Tynemouth making donations – all of which are piled up in their Cullercoats home waiting to be taken to South Africa.

Louise said: “I am really enjoying my new work and getting out and about and meeting lots of people.

“But at the same time there are suitcases full of clothes and toys in our house just waiting to help the orphans.

“I am appealing for any airline or shipping company who can step in and help us out.

“It’s all for a really good cause and I know the children would love to have them.

“When we got back last time there was a letter waiting for Frances to say just how much her kindness had been appreciated.

“There were also some photographs of children wearing the clothes.”
